OLD BUSINESS

Dean Otto gave an update on the web site. Dean explained that we added block numbers to help people locate grave areas. There are many more things we can do with the web page in the future. He will talk about this in new business.

We talked about advertise and after much discussion a motion was made and seconded and carried to run some ads in local area newspapers at approximately $200 a quarter.

Ruth Otto mentioned grave prices and we decided to leave them as is.

John Croswell mention that he and his wife planted the urns and will plant them again next year.

John Peterson talked about the roads. He said we need some crushed rock to fill in erosion areas. A motion was carried giving John permission to use his discretion on using crushed rock or crushed asphalt to repair the roads.

The subject of adding another water tank on the west side was brought up and led into a discussion of the current problems with the well's gravity system. We will take a look into this when we meet at the cemetery. A motion was carried to have John check into this and report back to the board at the next meeting.

NEW BUSINESS

Dean Otto talked about a software program for cemeteries. we thought we would like to take a look at this. Dean will get back to us when he sets up a demo.

John Peterson would like to get power steering put on his tractor. A motion was made to pay for this with the approval of the treasurer.

It was mention that the flags we put out on Memorial Day don't look good stuck in the ground and that they are vinyl. John Peterson will check into buying new flags with the right size dowel to fit into the holders.

Dean Otto brought up two ideas. One was to plant a tree farm on the west side that has been leased for farming. It was decided that this wasn't feasible at this time. The second idea was to commission a sculpture of stone made depicting some history of the cemetery. It was discussed that this could also be made of metal. Dean will check into this and report on this at the next meeting.

A motion was made and seconded and carried to adjourn the morning meeting to reconvene at 2:00 pm at the cemetery.
