Board Minutes for January 12, 2005

Meeting held at U.S. Bank

Meeting was called to order by President Stan Edwards. All were present except John Croswell and Ruth Otto. The minutes were read by Sally Peterson and approved as read. Dean Otto gave the treasurers report and the CD’s were audited. Dean’s report was approved.

Old Business

Ruth Otto was not present to give a report on signs for the roads in the cemetery.

New Business

Gordy Herbst filled us in on the Minneopa Park Centennial celebration. Gordy and Jo Schultz would be available to help us with our 150th year festivities. Dates are May 14 and June 5th with a July date to be determined by St. Paul. Friends of Minneopa will have an open house in the park on June 5th. Parking will be a problem. Gordy suggested we use both sides of the cemetery for our celebration. Jerry Neilsen volunteered to help. Dean Otto suggested we hand out our brochures with a sticker over the old prices.

A motion was made and passed to have June 5th our day to participate in the activities. Dean mentioned asking the monument companies if they wanted to be on hand to talk to people about markers. We talked about handing out water and having the Vietnam Moving Wall on display. Sally suggested we form a committee. Gordy Herbst, Ruth Otto, Jerry Neilsen and Sally Peterson will be on the committee.

A motion to adjourn was made and carried.

Respectfully submitted by Sally Peterson
